All Nyra London pieces are designed in London and manufactured in partnership with carefully selected high-quality suppliers across Asia, Dubai and Europe.

Every fixture is produced to strict quality standards, and many designs can be fully customised — including size, finish, ceiling plate configuration, drop length, and wiring specifications — to suit residential or commercial projects.

Nyra London ships worldwide. Our lighting is suitable for installation in the UK, USA, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and beyond. Every piece is customised to meet the electrical requirements of your destination country. We adjust voltage, wiring specifications and certifications to ensure full compatibility and safe installation wherever you are based.

We offer free worldwide shipping, and all customs duties and import taxes are covered by us — so there are no hidden fees or unexpected charges upon delivery.

Selecting the correct size ensures your lighting feels balanced, intentional, and architectural — never overpowering or undersized. Use the guidance below to choose with confidence.

Chandeliers (Dining Room & Bedroom)

Room Size Formula

Add your room’s length and width (in feet). That number (in inches) equals your ideal chandelier diameter.

Example: 12ft + 14ft room = 26 inch chandelier.

Over a Dining Table

Your chandelier should be ½ to ⅔ the width of your table.

Example: 180cm table → 90–120cm chandelier.

Hang the fixture 75–90cm above the tabletop.

In a Bedroom

Ensure the bottom of the chandelier sits at least 2.1m (7ft) from the floor.

If centred above the bed, allow 75–90cm clearance above mattress height.

For ceilings above 2.7m, selecting a slightly larger diameter improves visual proportion.

Kitchen Pendant Lights

Number of Pendants

1.2m island → 2 pendants

1.8m island → 3 pendants

2.4m+ island → 3–4 pendants

Pendant Width

Standard island → 25–35cm diameter pendants

Large island → 35–45cm diameter pendants

Fewer, larger pendants often create a more refined, architectural look.

Spacing Guidelines

Allow 15–30cm between pendants.

Keep at least 15cm from island edges.

Hanging Height

Suspend pendants 75–90cm above the countertop.

All NYRA pendants come with adjustable drop lengths unless otherwise stated.

Staircase & Double-Height Chandeliers

Diameter Formula

Add the stairwell length and width (in feet). That number (in inches) equals your ideal chandelier diameter.

Recommended Drop Length:

For double-height ceilings, the chandelier should drop approximately ½ to ⅔ of the total ceiling height.

Example: 6 metre ceiling → 3–4 metre drop.

All NYRA chandeliers include adjustable suspension lengths.

Clearance

Maintain a minimum 2.1m clearance from walking areas for safety and balance.

Installation & Compatibility:

Sloped Ceiling Compatibility

Ceiling plates can be manufactured to suit sloped or angled ceilings upon request.

Bulbs & Dimming

Bulbs are included unless otherwise specified.

Fixtures can be made dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch.

Ceiling Height Recommendation

Most chandeliers are recommended for ceilings 2.4 metres and above.

For fixtures exceeding 10kg, professional installation is recommended.

We aim for delivery within 10–12 days maximum for most standard handcrafted pieces. Customised or bespoke orders may require additional production time.

Secure & Damage-Protected Shipping

Each fixture is securely packaged for fragile transit using reinforced protective materials.

In the unlikely event of transit damage, replacement components are dispatched immediately.

Installation Guidance

Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended for all ceiling-mounted fixtures. All required mounting hardware is included. Fixtures are compatible with standard UK ceiling joists and USA 

For chandeliers exceeding 10kg, reinforced ceiling support is advised.

Electrical Compatibility

All fixtures are made compatible according to your shipping address Country. Bulbs are included unless otherwise specified. Our lighting can be made dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch.
